Port of Seattle rental car facility

Worked on while at CallisonRKTL

SeaTac, Washington

This light and airy 50,000 SF customer service building welcomes people from all over the globe as they are transferred via rapid transit buses from the airport.  A simple shed roof provides coverage outdoors in the temperate climate of Seattle and an inverse barrel ceiling inside the lobby is punctuated with skylights.

“The flow and movement of people inherently lead the planning. Using natural light through openings on both the interior and the exterior was an important part of the wayfinding experience. The goal was to use light as a guiding pathway from one space to the next.”
